Your appointment begins with a conversation about what you want from the session, your pressure preferences and any areas to focus on or avoid. Melissa then adjusts pace, positioning and techniques as the work progresses. Neck and shoulder tension, upper-back tightness and the effects of active routines are common reasons clients seek a focused session.
Deep tissue describes one possible approach, rather than a promise that every minute will use intense pressure. Deeper, more targeted work may be included when appropriate, but the pressure should remain useful and tolerable. Tell Melissa if you want it changed at any point.
Massage is not a diagnosis or a substitute for medical care. Share relevant conditions, recent procedures, injuries and medications through the intake process so the session can be adapted appropriately.

Do you offer deep tissue massage in Boca Raton?
Yes. Melissa can use deeper pressure and focused techniques in a customized therapeutic massage when appropriate to your goals, preferences and intake.
Does deep tissue massage have to hurt?
No. More pressure is not automatically more effective. You can ask Melissa to adjust the depth, pace or area of focus at any time.
Can we focus on my neck and shoulders?
Yes. Tell Melissa what you have been feeling, your priorities and any sensitive areas. She can tailor the session around that focus while taking your intake into account.
Can I book 90 minutes of focused work at home?
